Identia

Information Architecture, Interactive Design, Flash Development, Web Development

For the Identia Online prototype we delivered an initial version that illustrated the majority of the application’s scope in about eight weeks, just in time to successfully debut at an industry trade show. Powered by a database-driven server-side app built on CodeIgniter, Identia is an innovative service for the architectural sign industry, combining project management and design tools with a product catalog for a collaborative planning and order submission process at one address.

Trusted Force

Branding, Logo Design, Business Card Design, Collateral, Web Design

We built a brand for a new executive search and placement firm in D.C. with quality that clients would expect from a firm that has been around much longer. TF’s image has contributed to ongoing growth.

Mars Made

Brand Consulting, Business Card Design, Print Production

Mars Made is a new company designing and building custom high-end pool tables with a modern approach to design and materials. From business name brainstorming to card design and production, SK helped Mars Made package and polish their first impression.

Technology Review

Visual Design, Interactive Design, Flash Development

We produce visual modules for the online version of the technology publication Technology Review. These interactive pieces help to visually explain the content of the written pieces.

Test Devices

Brand Consulting, Visual Design, Information Architecture, User Flow, Web Design, Web Development, ExpressionEngine CMS

Test devices needed a new look and site to drive more business and stand out in their industry.

Rubie Green

Slim Kiwi provided the technology that powers startup online retailer Rubie Green, featuring Michelle Adams’ organic cotton upholstery fabrics:

  • e-commerce development
  • custom application enhancements
  • custom JavaScript development using jQuery for site features
  • XHTML/CSS development optimized for search engines

Working with Boston’s MOTH Design, we pushed to get the site live in support of coverage in domino magazine using the just-released Magento e-commerce platform. Magento is powerful, customizable, feature-rich e-commerce done right and an exciting departure from typical e-commerce applications.

We continue to support Rubie Green’s online presence and growth through web site hosting and ongoing site enhancements.

P3 Communications

Branding, Logo Design, Business Card Design

P3 is a small firm focused on environmental consulting for businesses.

Fisher Financial

Branding, Logo Design, Business Card Design, Collateral, Print Production, Web Design, Web Development, ExpressionEngine CMS

We built a new brand for a new company. Fisher Financial Strategies posed the challenge of launching with a common name in a very saturated industry. Our branding expertise and SEO strategy enables FFS to outperform much larger fish in the same pond, provides tools for potential and current clients and alerts the public to current financial issues.

Virgin Health

Interactive Design, Usability Consulting, Flash Development

Virgin Health needed help building their flagship online product for thousands of customers. This Flash piece helps customers track their athletic performance by week, month and year. The Flash interface talks to Virgin’s database and then displays pertinent data in a meaningful way to customers.

MetLife Bank

Slim Kiwi worked with Company C Marketing on deliverables for their 2008 MetLife Bank redesign.

For 40 unique designs, Slim Kiwi provided custom JavaScript functionality and XHTML/CSS templates optimized for search, accessibility and ease of maintenance. Those templates were incorporated into MetLife Bank’s proprietary CMS by their team.

Slim Kiwi also worked with Company C to design, develop and optimize online calculators (Mortgage Payments, Rent v. Buy, etc.) and rate modules in Flash, including integrating those with existing JavaScript code.

Health Simple

Visual Design

Health Simple wanted a new look to go along with their branded print products. They wanted something that felt fresh, clean and aligned with their brand.

Smartpool Touchscreen

Visual Design, Information Architecture, User Flow, Usability Design

We helped the leading smart and luxury pool company in New England and around the country with new touchscreen devices for their line of pools. We worked on completely rebuilding the user flow for pool controls and pulled key operations into a single screen to make both local and remote control much easier for owners. We also worked at increasing the brand value of their product from previous versions.

Playskool Baby Game

Game Concepting, Visual Design, Interactive Design, Flash Development

The baby game was designed for Playskool’s new “For Moms” section as a tongue-in-cheek way to grade moms on raising their babies. The game’s goal is to achieve the least amount of stress both for mom and baby.

Playskool

Visual Design

Playskool wanted a fresh look and a site that promoted their brand, sub-brands and philosophy about play all at the same time. We designed a solution that brought their toys to the front while keeping the site clean and simple to navigate with a whimsical, playful feel to it.

Playskool For Moms

Visual Design, Web Design, Web Development

Playskool wanted to build a community space for moms of a specific demographic. This was a place that could be branded separately from the rest of Playskool’s look and feel, which is directed more towards kids.

Tonka Driving Game

Game Concepting, Visual Design, Interactive Design, Flash Development

Tonka wanted a fun way to showcase a couple of their flagship truck line products. We built a piece that shows them off, is fun for the kids, and perhaps too optimistically teaches them how to pick up all of their toys and clothes and put them away neatly. Hey, it was worth a shot.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Visual Design, Interactive Design, Flash Development

Dunkin’ Donuts wanted to highlight its relationship with Fair Trade growers and suppliers. We helped implement that.

Subway Interactive

Interactive Design, Flash Development

Subway uses interactive pieces, quizzes and interactive video to promote their fresh line of food. We helped implement them.
